I’ve been lucky enough to travel in many different continents and countries throughout my life. I’ve had the chance to admire many of nature’s beauties that some times made me wonder whether they were real or not. From the high altitudes of the Peruvian mountains to the vast Amazon forest and from the glaciers of Patagonia to Morroco’s old clay towns there are so many memories and emotions to recall.

When it comes to choosing one of all those moments, I would definitely recall my time in the river Nile as the most electrifying one. it is impossible to put into words all those emotions and that great energy of the powerful river that used to be as sacred as the Sun. Until that day I wasn’t keen on river cruises as they didn’t seem fun to me.

Until that day, I had never seen so much beauty anywhere else than into the sea, with the Mediterranean being my favourite one. Although I had spent some years of my life living in Budapest and Prague that were built in the Danube’s banks, I was never amazed by any river until that day.

During my travel in Egypt I met a very interesting American guy that was an expert in cruise deals and convinced me that we should picked one up. According to his beliefs, for some of the greatest experiences in life there is only one chance which should not be missed. There were so many tour operators selling Nile River Cruises at the town of Aswan that I couldn’t resist trying a river cruise for the first time.

The hours we spent in the Nile were just unforgettable. Because its mouth is located into the Mediterranean sea the whole landscape seemed familiar. Thinking that it is the longest river in the world makes one realise how vital it is for that huge arid piece of land that goes all the way down into Ethiopia and Uganda. So intense was the experience I had that it makes no wonder why ancient Egyptians worship had the Nile at its center.

Here comes the summer holidays, well at least next month, and it will be a good idea to get booking your holiday. Sometimes leaving it to the last minute isn’t the best idea. So why not book your holiday now, but here are two of the top contenders for the top holiday spot. Here is some information on the two of them that may help you to make up your mind which one you would prefer!

Egypt holidays have become one of the most popular holiday makers choice across the world. It’s large size means that it houses many great holiday locations with places like Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada topping the list for most visited places in Egypt. If you want a top quality diving experience and maybe an adventure out across the desert then you could find yourself out quad biking across the plains. The Camel is scary looking, but try to give it a go. Although you will probably only try it once, you have to give it a go if you go to Egypt. Obviously Egypt is home to one of the greatest wonders in the world, the Pyramids. If you think about it Egypt will be more appealing to you if you are an explorer, if you want to find out more about the past civilizations and delve into the bustling markets, where practically anything is available.

The Caribbean is slightly different, this is much less of an exploration and reminiscing location, and more one to chill out. There are an inordinate amount of spa hotels and holiday locations here, with St Lucia topping the list. St Lucia holidays have become so well known for their spa treatments that they have become one of the most popular destinations to visit in the Caribbean. The Body Holiday hotel also known as the Le Sport is a hotel dedicated to pampering you and your body, giving you the best possible treatment available.

So deciding between these holidays does come down to the Egypt hotels and Caribbean hotels available, but mainly down to what you feel like doing on your holiday!

Are you thinking of going to Egypt this year for your holiday? Well if this is the place you want to go, then happy days, below is a top 5 places for you to visit!

  1. Ok number one on the list is a bit of an obvious one, the Pyramids of Giza. These are some of the most majestic wonders in the world, when you actually think about the technology they had to build these (which was none).
  2. The second one is actually the whole place. The capital of Egypt Cairo is very busy, but still worth seeing. This is the number 1 place for you to experience what the Egyptian culture is all about.
  3. Whenever possible, you need to take a trip down to the Nile. This is a truly awesome place to take a cruise down, you are sure to have a brilliant time down here. Luckily there are some amazing ships that are prepared to take tourists for an elegant ride down the Nile, and usually for a very good price as well.
  4. Head over to the Sphinx! You will be completely stunned by this creations prominence. This is the most outstanding “statue” in the world, it will leave you completely awestruck. Even today, we don’t really know why it was built, even who built, and what its exact purpose was!
  5. Number 5 on the list is the Temples of Karnak. Everyone should go here! There is always time to visit the place that was once worshipped by the Egyptians to all of their gods, if not then make time! There is a monument there to almost every god in the area!

Now you know where to visit when you are staying in your Egypt hotels on your Egypt holidays! Don’t forget to visit Sharm, or stay in the Hurghada hotels!

There do seem to be a lot of people out there that think that going on one of those Egypt holidays is a complete waste of time as you can see everything the country has to offer in any decent museum across the world. Well in all honest opinion these people are just plain mad, Egypt has far more on offer other than just the history that you can go and see.

Diving

The Red Sea is one of the most famous locations for diving in the world and this is because it is packed with marine life and the water is very clear and has a lot of coral.

Camel Trading

No this is not something that you should jump in and take part in but something that it is very interesting to watch. This experience really is a very unique one indeed and it has to be watched.

Sport

This is not something that many people actually think about when they are thinking about making a trip to Egypt but it would seem that if you are into your golf it can be a great place to visit. This is because there are over 20 courses in the country and they range from playing in sight of the Pyramids to teeing off very close to the Red Sea itself.

Haggling

You haven’t experienced Egypt until you have been to one of the markets and started haggling with people to try and get something you like or even dislike for a cheap price. It is a truly great but yet strange experience to take part in and there are many establishments that have actually been around for over 100 years.

So there you have it, get off to Egypt and take a vacation. Failing this why not try one of those Dubai holidaysor Barbados holidays.

Mention Egypt and everyone is sure to get a picture in their mind of fascinating pharaohs, impressive pyramids and sweeping desert sands. In recent years it’s been growing as a strong competitor on plenty of top destination lists, and it’s easy to see why. History buffs and culture vultures alike will enjoy experiencing all that Egypt has to offer. From the hustle and bustle of thriving Cairo, to the tomb of King Tut in the Valley of the Kings and the brilliant shores of the Red Sea, Egypt has something for everyone.

History buffs will probably already have Egypt on their top destination list.  Giza may be a major tourist attraction, but no visit to Egypt would be complete without a stop off here. From the Sphinx to the Great Pyramids, you’re definitely going to want to take some postcard-worthy photographs. Although the construction of the pyramids only account for a short episode in a long history of ancient Egypt, they nonetheless continue to amaze and astound and are definitely worth a visit.

If the Great Pyramids aren’t enough of a fix for you, enjoy a nice river cruise down the Nile. Travelling down this infamous river you can count over 70 different pyramids! It’s a great way to see the sights whilst relaxing and enjoying an important element of Egypt’s history. You’ll find the majority of cruises travel between Luxor and Aswan. You can hop on and off and different ports and go visit the impressive temples and monuments. Definitely make sure to plan some time for exploring the Valley of the Kings. Out of the 63 tombs here, 18 are open to the public, including that of the world’s most famous pharaoh, King Tut. You’ll also be able to visit the nearby Valley of the Queens and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Holidaymakers who are looking to relax a bit more but still get in some of Egypt’s rich historical past should head to Sharm el Sheikh. It’s made a huge transformation from tiny fishing village to one of the world’s top tourist destination for diving holidays. In addition to enjoying the underwater brilliance of the Red Sea and Sharm’s beautiful beaches, those looking for a glimpse at the past can trek the Holy Mountains. Among these peaks is the famous Mount Sinai, where Moses received the 10 Commandments.Another attractive of historic importance includes St Catharine’s Monastery which is home to an interpretation of the famous ‘burning bush’.

Right like many others you are preparing to go on your Sharm El Sheikh holiday. So now that you have all of your packing almost finished, is there anything that you could have possibly forgotten. Make sure that you remember all of these blatantly obvious items, so here is a quick reminder, your passport and Sun Cream!

So what do we know about Sharm El Sheikh, well a couple of clearly stated points are:

  • It is very warm and in most cases boiling hot.
  • Shadows are hard to come by, there is a lot of sun.
  • Never forget how much sand there will be, it is everywhere, everywhere I tell you.
  • The Ocean is very close by; this is after all a coast line city.

What does this information help us with? This information can be used to help us make some good decisions about what we need. Sharm El Sheikh is a very conservative country, which means although it is hot you need to be careful. We all know that it can be very hot out there, but it is important to remember that some people from Egypt take offence to flesh being shown on public, so try to save sun bathing until you get back to the hotel. Next is that you need to take hat, I know it sounds silly, if you don’t use it you could be left to passing out from the heat, so either buy one there or buy one before hand.

If you like your swimming or diving, then make sure that you sort your self out with a wet suit before you get out there, if you haven’t booked with a diving tour operator, it could be very difficult to obtain a Wet Suit. Try to avoid stuffing your bag with shoes, you only need one pair of high heels ladies, and one pair of trainers, the roads are soft and sandy.

Sharm El Sheikh holidays for all, this is such a popular holiday these days, now however people still seem more interested in Caribbean holidays and on the other side of Egypt, Hurghada holidays.

Celebrities capabilities have now become noticed by Thomas Cook. Basically the same way that every other company in the world does, by advertising with them. In order to be a bit different Thomas Cook took a different avenue. This tour operator dedicates most of it’s time to the British public. Jamie Redknapp is a very well known figure. Louise is a judge on one of the UK’s most watched shows currently on TV. Most people in the UK really like this couple, there is nothing bad to say about them!

What is it in this advert that makes it oh so special. These two celebrities are easy for the public to relate too. They can be seen travelling with Thomas Cook to a modest resort, and relaxing on the beach. This advert intends to give people the impression they can live like a celebrity as well. I do however doubt very much that Mr and Mrs Redknapp do stay in these resorts on a regular basis, but never mind what do any of us know about the lifestyle of a celebrity.

Since they have been in the Nintendo Wii adverts they are loved by the whole public. This couple have worked well together, and do very well together. Thomas Cook provide holidays from the UK across the world, and have been doing so for over 100 years. A combination of these celebrities and this specific business has seemed to take off very well.

Let’s take a second though and look at it from the other side. We all know that Celebrities don’t stay in the same resorts as us common folk. This hotel they are in at the advert, they wouldn’t really stay there, so are they telling us lies? Somehow I do not think that this holiday is going to be all that great.

Sharm El Sheikh Holidays are a favourite of the Celebrity demographic, showered in luxury hotels, however saying that Egypt holidays have been popular with the entire country. So is Thomas Cook wrong to be employing role models in their adverts, of course not, I have been on Hurghada holidays, what fun it was, no celebrities spotted though!

This isn’t your average holiday travel guide, it is much better – it’s different. This time instead of boring you all with something that you should try on holiday, here is a list of things that you should do your best to avoid. Now I am not a scare monger er, I just want to make sure that people realise what is actually out there sometimes.

Although looking different is nice, sometimes it can make you look like a target. Now i don’t want to patronise you, but just make sure you look after your money, even more so in Brazil. As soon as someone can spot you over and over again, you become their target.

Just be careful where you get your water from. Do not drink the Tap water, always ask for bottled. The water isn’t very pleasant here; in fact it is quite a terrible and will not agree with your stomach at all. If you do try the tap water, be prepared to spend the majority of the holiday hovering over the toilet!

Don’t walk off from your tour guide, i may repeat myself. Oh my god you wouldn’t believe how stupid some people are. Do not leave your guide when your in an unfamiliar place. There are some nasty little beasties around, and you will get lost very quickly.

Being rude isn’t going to get you very far. Your mother probably told you that you should treat people the way you want to be treated, well this was sound advice. Do your best not to “piss” anyone off, just be pleasant and friendly, some people can give exactly the same abuse and more back. If you can find a way to be a good person to all of these people, they will do the same for you.

Brazil holidays are becoming very popular, just keep in mid the above, even if you are on Luxury holidays. If this isn’t something that you are interested in then I can recommend more relaxing holidays like; Cuba holidays or Egypt holidays.

India is one of those countries that you have to visit before the end of time. There are so many different places in India that need to be visited that it would take about 6 months to visit every part and spend a couple of days there. India is made up of many sectors, but Mumbai and Delhi are probably the most powerful.

There is nothing quite like a good meal from India, the food and tastes of that food are truly amazing, some of the best “Grub” in the world comes from here. Cricket and the food that you can find in Mumbai has been critically acclaimed, with people dedicating much time to write about it. You would be surprised at how advanced Mumbai really is, with some amazing technological advancements over the past two decades. This city is no longer the slum that it was once considered, in actuality it has gained a very strong economic foothold. Tourists have been more keen to visit India, mainly because of the advancements in this countries cities.

If you want to see somewhere that has massive religious bearing, then you should definitely visit Delhi. In the News and the limelight Delhi has taken over the world as the most popular city in India, with key points in a Trade Route. Delhi as well as Mumbai has greatly increased in its technological advancement, with a stable transport system and some very luxurious hotels. If you enter deeper then you can reach New Delhi, the capital of India. This is a home to some of the most acclaimed business men and women, with great entrepreneurial skills. The most important thing for tourists is the wide range of activities available, things such as hiking, visiting museums, going to the tiger Zoo’s and being driven around in some crazy rickshaws.

If you are interested in maybe trying something else instead of India, I recommened Egypt for great Luxury holidays, Hurghada holidays have really taken off, and so have the Sharm El Sheikh holidays, now becoming the number 1 holiday in Egypt!

As provided by Travel agents around the world, these are to be the next top holiday locations!

Sri Lanka has been announced by the New York Times that it could well be the number 1 holiday destination for 2010; however some have disagreed with this. Although it will cost a lot for you to reach, you won’t have to spend barely a penny when you get here. The views that surround this luxurious and extremely relaxing location are perfect for anyone that just wants to “Chill”.

The most luxurious place in the world, the Maldives (except Dubai). Each hotel has an island to itself, jetting out over the water. Heading off to the spa is the one of the 2 things that you can do. If you do actually want to do something that involves movement, then you can always try the diving with whale sharks!

St Lucia, the Caribbean, this was bound to crop up at some point. All those that want to holiday like a celebrity then the Caribbean has got to be your choice. You don’t have to be a millionaire to come here, there are hotels suited to everyone’s monetary needs. St Lucia is best known for relaxing by the seaside and enjoying the clear seas and constant sun!

Now we head off to Sharm El Sheikh. Now this does have some mixed reviews, some people really like it, and some people don’t, but many people visit every year. Luxury is something that is not over looked in Egypt, they do their best to make everything perfect. The prices aren’t to bad either, this is probably one of the cheapest places to go, but the accommodation is still very much up to scratch. Wreck Diving, wall diving, free diving and shark diving, if you like diving, this might be a good place for you!

There are some others that are close to the top like Cuba holidays, any Caribbean holidays for that matter, and you never know you might find yourself indulging in Weddings abroad, suggest it to the Boyfriend, and see what happens!
